Planning - Administers the general plan, zoning ordinance, subdivision regulations, and the city's building permit and plan review process.

Building Safety - Administers the city's building codes and
provides services relating to on-site construction, plan review, building permits, building inspections, and occupancy clearance.

Engineering - Responsible for providing in-house professional engineering services, which includes design and project management of street, drainage and traffic signal capital improvement projects.

*The City of Avondale will be adopting the 2012 Building Codes & New Fee Schedule that will be going into effect July 1, 2013.
